The current operational challenges include a lack of awareness of replenishment requirements, leading to increased lost sales due to items not being stocked on time. This unawareness results in delays in bringing items to the shelves, exacerbating the loss of sales. Additionally, minimal optimization in staffing allocations has led to operational inefficiencies, constraining the ability to dynamically handle store demands.

Through this use case, real-time alerts notified outlet staff of replenishment gaps throughout the day. Real-time data pipelines maintained a dynamic record of stock movements from the back-store to shelves and sales. This data was used to model sales trends and proactively identify shelf gaps for the top 1,000 fast-moving items. Alerts were sent to handheld devices, requiring staff to respond with their actions or reasons for ignoring the alert. These responses helped maintain dynamic stock accounting across the store, a capability not previously available.

Using modeling insights and intervention strategies, 2.5% to 3.5% Increase in Net margin & 80% Adherence rate achieved.
